Weekly code review
A working developer reads your code line by line every Saturday and tells you what a reviewer at a real company would say.

Lectures can scale; labs cannot. Being stuck for forty minutes is how people quit, so we cap the room.

You leave with three to eight repositories with real commit history. That is what an interviewer opens.
